OA Institutional Membership Programme
Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT) has entered into an agreement with Taylor & Francis (T&F) for the Open Access (OA) Institutional Membership Programme. This Membership brings many benefits, primarily focused on providing a 100% waiver of Author Processing Charges (APCs) for Faculty Members who wish to publish their research in Open Access journals. The OA Institutional Membership aims to reduce the financial burden on the Teachers and Researchers, promote open access to scholarly works, and enhance the visibility of RIT's research output.
The agreement's terms and usage are as follows:
-
Articles published in the listed journals with a corresponding author affiliated with the Ramaiah Institute of Technology can utilize the benefits of the agreement. It is mandatory that authors follow the affiliation format prescribed by RIT.
-
APC for articles published in the listed journals will be waived off completely (Q1 and Q2 journals).
-
During submission, authors must choose "Ramaiah Institute of Technology" as their institution to utilize the agreement's benefits.
-
Authors need to use "@msrit.edu” mail during submission.
-
Under certain circumstances, some of the journals may move to a different publisher, or journal metrics may be affected or transform from subscription to hybrid to Open or Vice Versa. Only the prevailing policy on the date of copyright transfer will be considered.
-
The agreement covers only the waiver of APCs for Faculty Members at RIT. All other terms and conditions related to publication, peer review, and article submission remain unchanged and subject to T&F policies.
-
The T&F Mentor will assist authors in moderating and preparing manuscripts for submission to T&F's OA journals.
-
The journals listed under the RIT-T&F agreement can be accessed from the RIT Library website under the “Research Support” tab on the OA Institutional Membership.
